Guide Dog

I got published in an internal company-wide newsletter at a large software company in Redmond. :) I also landed on the home page of the corporate intranet portal (plug for the portal: http://www.nngroup.com/reports/intranet/2007/awards.html -- scroll down two thirds). :) I shot for a story about a puppy who is being raised by a couple of employees. The puppy is being trained to be a guide dog, and company policy allows guide dogs and guide dogs in training to hang out on campus with the right paperwork.. and a security badge!

The first three shots are the ones they chose to run with the story. The first pic made it to the intranet portal home page. :)

Joyce and Aaron

Pictures from Joyce and Aaron's wedding reception.

Yes, I think he's grabbing his crotch. Sure looks it to me!

How low does shorty go? This low. (Reference Flo Rida, "Low.")

This was the electric slide, I think.

The bride and groom were pretty much absent from the dance floor.. until they were caught.

Surrounded!

Here they are throwing the crowd a bone. (It was fast music playing.) I of course have no issues with their non-dancing disposition.... right on, chaps.

Some friends come to "encourage" Joyce and Aaron.

Eclipse(?) at Alki

Me and a couple guys from work went to Alki and attempted to catch the eclipse + city + water. The clouds foiled us, but we were treated with a nice sunset, anyway.

My Michael Bay shot:

The moon finally clears the clouds.

2007 Megamix

Here's a selection of pics I took last year, not in chronological order.

Brunch at Salty's at Alki (ok, mostly random stuff taken after brunch):

Some shots from around the Microsoft campus.

Heavily processed:

The Cougar Mountain Zoo acquired some new tigerly tenants--a pair of tiger youngsters. These next two shots represent candidates for my favorite shot of the year.

See this face? It's the please-donate-money-to-the-Cougar-Mountain-Zoo face. He's very good at it. :)

Stalking.

Playing.

At the same zoo, some lemur dude checking me out.

Wallaby.

Wallaby tongue.

Back up. (That's an emu in the background.)

(And here's his foot.)

Here's a future model. Seriously, when you point a camera at her, she smiles and comes toward you. Amazing!

Volleyball at Lake Boren.

What a tease!

Pebbles, the ring bearer at Julia and Mark's wedding:

Last and certainly not least, here's a pic from Julia and Mark's reception. This is the final candidate for my favorite shot of the year; I like the emotion and feeling it captures.

I saw this ice halo yesterday.. I wasn't at the best location in the world but it feels good to be shooting again. I have a new camera and I'm enjoying it.
